Since their first season in 2002, The Houston Texans have proudly become an active member of the Houston Community. They have also taken great pride in helping the people of Houston be healthier and more active. This is the core of the NFL PLAY 60 program. We want to build a generation of healthy, active and responsible kids.
In this spirit, we are proud to be one of the Founding Partners of The Houston Kids Triathlon. This program will engage families throughout South Texas in fun and healthy activities. It will teach kids to swim, help them learn to bike safely, and it will encourage thousands of families to be active together.
We encourage you to watch this website for local media coverage of the event and to find out ways to participate. Players, coaches, and cheerleaders will be appearing throughout the community to encourage kids to participate in the inaugural Houston Kids Triathlon April 13th and 14th at the Univesity of Houston.
